Therapist, Guide & Psychedelic-Informed Clinician

She/Her | Kansas City, MO

My Philosophy: Healing Through Connection

I believe connection is one of the most powerful forces in healing. As a therapist, I see my role as guide and facilitator — not expert. You are the expert on your own life. My job is to create a safe, curious space where you can explore your inner world and reconnect with yourself, with others, and with the natural world around you.

My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and non-pathologizing — blending science with the sacred to support genuine growth and transformation. Healing, to me, isn't just about addressing what hurts. It's about rediscovering joy, meaning, and purpose. I aim to create an environment where clients feel truly seen, heard, and understood — and I'm not afraid to bring humor and lightness into the room when it fits.

Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy & Clinical Research

I am deeply energized by the emerging field of psychedelic medicine and consider this work some of the most meaningful of my career.

In 2022, I completed my certification in Ketamine and Psychedelic Medicine, and since then I have been actively involved in multiple psychedelic clinical trials at both the lead and co-lead facilitator level, including:

  • Phase I clinical trials using psilocybin (therapeutic and ultra-high doses) and 5-MeO-DMT
  • Lead therapist on an active Phase I clinical trial using psilocybin
  • Group facilitator on a Phase III clinical trial using psilocybin to treat depression

I believe psychedelics hold profound potential as a catalyst for healing and self-discovery. To stay current and continuously refine my practice, I participate in a monthly KAP (Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy) consultation group alongside fellow practitioners in the field.

My Background & Clinical Training

I earned my Master's in Counseling from UMKC in 2013. Following graduation, I spent five years in community mental health, working with highly vulnerable populations navigating serious mental health concerns and substance misuse. I then moved into primary care before opening my private practice in 2020.

My areas of clinical expertise include:

  • Trauma & PTSD
  • Anxiety & Depression
  • Life Transitions
  • Loss of Connection & Identity

I draw from an eclectic, evidence-informed foundation — primarily EMDR, Brainspotting, IFS (Informed), Neuroscience, Polyvagal Theory, and psychedelic-assisted therapy and integration.

Life Outside the Office

You might find me on the mat training Brazilian jiu-jitsu or in the gym doing CrossFit — I love exploring what my body is capable of. I'm a firm believer in the healing power of movement.

Outside of training, I feel most alive spending time with friends, loved ones, and pets — and I have yet to meet a dog or cat I didn't immediately want to adopt. I'm also a devoted (if imperfect) plant parent and spend as much time in nature as I can.

I believe how we treat our planet reflects how we treat ourselves and each other. Cultural competency and an awareness of privilege in all its forms are not just professional values — they're a moral commitment I carry into every room I enter.
