A Community-Centered Healing Experience for LGBTQ+ Adults
Healing doesn't have to happen in isolation. This group KAP experience was created specifically for queer adults seeking a space where they can explore deep inner work in the company of others who understand — a space where identity, vulnerability, and transformation are not just accepted, but celebrated.
What Is Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)?
Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a clinically guided therapeutic experience in which ketamine — used as a medicine — serves as a catalyst to help participants access deeper layers of emotion, awareness, and inner wisdom. The goal is not just symptom relief, but genuine healing: a reconnection with yourself, with others, and with the world around you.
In the group setting, that reconnection happens not only inward — but between participants, creating a collective field of healing that amplifies the individual experience.
What to Expect: The Group KAP Process
This is a structured, intentional 10-week experience built around three core phases:
Phase 1: Preparation
(Virtual Group Sessions)
Before the ketamine experience, all participants meet virtually for three preparation sessions.
Sessions are designed to:
- Introduce group members to one another and begin building trust
- Educate participants about ketamine, its effects, and what to expect
- Set personal intentions for the journey
- Establish psychological safety and group cohesion
Preparation is not optional — it is foundational. The quality of your experience is shaped significantly by the safety and readiness built in these sessions.
Phase 2: Medicine
(In-Person)
The ketamine session takes place in a comfortable, carefully curated in-person setting with mats, pillows, eye shades, and a thoughtfully selected music journey designed to support deep inner exploration.
What to expect:
- Medicine: Ketamine is administered in lozenge form, dissolving in the mouth. Onset typically begins within 15–30 minutes; psychedelic effects last approximately 90 minutes to 2 hours
- The journey: Participants lie down, eyes covered, and turn inward — guided by music that supports emotion, imagery, and introspection
- Facilitation: Two trained clinicians — Bethany and Merritt — are present throughout to monitor safety, provide grounding, and offer support if difficult experiences arise
While each participant's journey is deeply personal, the shared group space creates a powerful undercurrent of collective healing — a sense that you are not alone, even in your most interior moments.
Phase 3: Integration
(Virtual Group Session)
A few days after the medicine session, the group reconvenes virtually to:
Session is designed to:
- Share experiences at whatever level feels comfortable
- Reflect on insights, emotions, or memories that surfaced
- Begin integrating those experiences into everyday life
- Receive ongoing support from both facilitators and fellow participants
Integration is where the medicine session becomes lasting growth. Without it, even the most profound experience can fade. This phase is essential.
