Using Ketamine as a Catalyst for Deep Healing & Reconnection
Every person carries an inner healer — an innate wisdom that knows the path toward wholeness. Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) uses the therapeutic space, ketamine as the catalyst, and your own inner resources as the vehicle for healing. This work is about leaning into expansiveness, curiosity, and the parts of yourself that are ready to be seen.

Is Ketamine Therapy Safe?
Yes. Ketamine has a well-established safety record spanning more than six decades. It was first synthesized in 1962 and has been widely used in medical settings ever since — including in emergency rooms and surgical settings. If you've ever had surgery or received emergency care, there's a strong chance you've already been administered ketamine in a medical context.

When used in a clinically supervised therapeutic setting with a trained provider, KAP is considered safe and well-tolerated for appropriate candidates.
What Is Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)?
KAP is a clinically guided form of therapy that incorporates ketamine — used as a medicine — within the therapeutic session to support the processing and healing of emotional wounds, trauma, and disconnection. Unlike standalone ketamine infusions, KAP pairs the neurological effects of ketamine with active psychotherapy, creating a uniquely powerful environment for healing and self-reconnection.
Why Consider KAP?
Research and clinical experience have shown that KAP can achieve what traditional therapy does — often in a significantly shorter timeframe. KAP has demonstrated effectiveness for:
- Treatment-resistant depression
- PTSD and trauma processing
- Anxiety and emotional rigidity
- Suicidal ideation
- Disconnection from self, others, or meaning
- Repetitive thought patterns and rumination

Beyond symptom relief, KAP can also support a deeper reconnection to self, to relationships, and to a sense of purpose — making it a valuable tool not just for those in crisis, but for anyone seeking meaningful inner growth.

How Does the KAP Process Work?
KAP is a structured, step-by-step process — never rushed, always collaborative. Here's what to expect:
1. Phone Consultation
A brief call to explore whether KAP is a good fit for your needs, history, and goals.
2. Intake Appointment
A deeper clinical session to gather your history and current concerns. Together, we'll assess whether KAP is appropriate for you.
3. Medical Evaluation & Prescription
If KAP is a good fit, you'll be referred to a prescribing physician for a medical evaluation and ketamine prescription.
4. Preparation Sessions
A minimum of three preparatory therapy sessions to set intentions, build safety, and orient you to the KAP experience.
5. Medicine Session
The guided ketamine session itself, including the journey and gentle integration immediately following.
6. Integration Session
Scheduled 1–3 days after the medicine session to process what emerged and anchor insights into daily life.
Who May Not Be a Candidate for KAP?
KAP is not appropriate for everyone. Potential contraindications include:
- Active or acute mania or hypomania
- Uncontrolled hypertension
- Current pregnancy or actively trying to conceive
- History of bladder cystitis
- Unstable cardiovascular disease or chest pain
- Personal or family history of psychosis or schizophrenia
- Known allergy to ketamine
A thorough medical and clinical evaluation will always be completed before any KAP work begins.
